Infused oils are made by macerating dried or wilted herbs in oil for several weeks, allowing the spices to release their oil-soluble compounds into the carrier oil and form an infusion that is then strained out and bottled. Compared with essential oil, infusion oil tends to be gentler on sensitive skin, as it may be applied directly onto the skin or added directly into face cream or body lotion formulas. Its versatility also makes it an excellent option for massage therapy or oil cleansing and even as an after-shower body oil application.

To create this stunning and versatile natural skin care oil, we combine nourishing carrier oils with micro lemon balm leaf extract grown on our farm and juniper and hops extracts. This light-scented, antioxidant-rich oil provides deep moisturizer while sealing in softness for velvety smooth skin – without harmful emulsifiers, detergents, GMO’s parabens, mineral oil, paraffin wax petroleum PEGs, or synthetic fragrance!

Making lemon balm-infused oil is relatively straightforward while producing essential oil requires much more complex and costly machinery. This process involves simmering herbs in a tube and passing steam through cold water to condense into liquid form. Once refined, this pure form has many of the same medicinal benefits as an infused version, but production costs increase substantially; we’re proud to provide high-quality versions of this rare essential oil from Lemon Balm Essentials!

Sunflower Seed Oil

Sunflowers are beloved flowers known for their golden blooms and impressive height, but did you know they also produce oil? Sunflower seed oil derived from Helianthus annuus flowers offers numerous health and skin care benefits, making it a powerful ingredient. Sunflower seed oil’s non-volatile composition contains rich fatty acid profiles like linoleic and oleic acids, which have the power to treat dry skin conditions while simultaneously increasing skin barrier function.

Sunflower seed oil is a fantastic moisturizer that helps reduce signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, while offering significant anti-UV damage and environmental stress protection. Plus, sunflower seed oil is an excellent alternative to oils high in saturated fats, such as butter, which could contribute to heart disease.

Cold-pressing sunflower oil provides the highest quality product, preserving more nutrients, flavor, and color (usually light amber hue) than other methods. Refining processes such as de-gumming, neutralization, or bleaching may result in more stable high-temperature cooking oils; however, this method will remove many essential health components like free fatty acids, phospholipids, phytosterols, and others that contribute to its unique characteristics.

Sunflower oil is not only an edible item; it can also be found in many cosmetic formulations as a moisturizer and pre-cleanser for skin types, including regular and oily. Sunflower oil is easy to use and works great with most skin types, including traditional and oily. Just add a few drops to your skin, massage in circular motions, and follow with your favorite facial cleanser for best results. Doing this regularly will prevent clogged and makeup residue accumulation while simultaneously cleansing pores thoroughly. Sunflower seed oil can also be used as a body moisturizer by applying several drops directly to clean skin at any time of the day or night. Doing this will provide essential fatty acids for maintaining a healthy barrier, thus helping prevent transepidermal water loss while encouraging lipid synthesis and barrier homeostasis.
