Menifee’s Gale Webb “Kids-R-#1” Action Sports Park

Bikers across Southern California now have an exciting new place to hone their skills. Menifee recently unveiled Gale Webb’s “Kids-R-#1” Action Sports Park, one of the largest in its category in Southern California. The park was named in honor of Gale Webb herself – a resident who encourages youth through her nonprofit organization and has overcome tremendous adversities herself, such as being disabled after a parachute accident.

Located on the southeast corner of Evans Road and Craig Avenue

Gale Webb “Kids-R-#1” Action Sports Park in Menifee has become a regional attraction and won statewide recognition from the California Park and Recreation Society, or CPRS, who presented it with its Award of Excellence in Design during a presentation to Menifee City Council. Menifee became one of only four cities out of 500 organizations represented by CPRS to receive this honor; furthermore, Gale Webb herself received the Champion of Community award due to her efforts encouraging kids never to give up when failing at something they attempt.

This park features bike trails for various skill levels and a 22,000-square-foot pump track, along with monthly volunteer dig sessions that help maintain its condition. Gale Webb, who hails from Menifee and encourages children through her nonprofit organization Kids-R-#1, inspired and encouraged youth by creating Kids-R-#1. Her accomplishments and accolades during her illustrious career earned her many local and national accolades, including being honored with Senator Mike Morrell’s “50 Women of Distinction Award.”
